Baguio City, also known as the “Summer Capital of the Philippines”

Since the city is well known for its pines, you can visit “Camp John Hay” to have a full experience of how much pines does the city have and be able to try it’s fresh air.
Not only pines is all there is but the place is filled with war gears, tools and other military stuff since it was used as a recreation facility for American Soldiers.
The wide-area recreational complex offers a lot of fun activities you can do such as their treetop adventure, having several thrilling rides such as Superman ride (zipline), Tree drop, Canopy riding and communing with nature with their Butterfly Sanctuary.
In the 20th century, Baguio was also known for being a mining town; after a few years past, they reopened as a park for the tourists. Their main attraction is their viewing deck that has a stunning view of the Cordillera Mountains and Benguet’s old copper and gold mines.
The place also has people offering tourists a chance to wear their traditional Ifugao garbs known as “Bahag” , their headdresses and their old weapons, the spear and the shield.
The city also has a Village of the Tam-Awan people, called “Tam-Awan Village”
The place showcases their indigenous arts , go on a Cordillera heritage tour start with Tam-Awan Village.
Built by the Chanun Foundation in 1998, Tam-Awan Village is modeled after the native Ifugao Village to give a glimpse of the rich and traditional parts of the region.
The Tam-Awan Village also has a art gallery, The village also has regular exhibitions and cultural shows from both local and visiting artists.
